Wow, once again it has been a while since I have posted. Happily, that means I have been swamped and haven’t had time to write. I carved out today especially, just so that I could bring some images to all of you. I love sharing your beautiful smiles and the milestones that you reach. Really, besides the corporate head shots that I do, capturing milestones in peoples lives is what I do.
How fantastic is that last year of high school! Some seniors come to me the spring and summer before their senior year begins. Others wait until they’ve graduated. What ever your way of capturing this milestone, do capture it.
This young man met me here in Peachtree City. His photos are one after the other perfect.
You may recognize these parents from an earlier maternity session. Well, their little princess has arrived and here she is. Enjoy!
This session has so many of my favorite photos it was hard to just pick a few to share.
I started this session by working with just the baby boy. He is such a peaceful little guy. The only noises he made were tiny little baby coos. I melted each time I focused on his little details. His sister was equally adorable to work with and a bit more feisty. I think that is evident in one of the black and white photos that I am sharing below. As we set up the shot to capture a pose where a baby rests their chin on their arms, she surprised me by insisting on lifting up her head. I still can’t believe that shot.
I titled this session 20 Fingers and 20 Toes because of big sister. She counted each toe for me as we snapped the photos of her with her siblings.
I came across this location while on one of the golf cart paths here in Peachtree City. My boys and I were heading to t-ball and were winding our way around some new paths. I fell in love as soon as I came upon this location. Three ponds, two bridges and willow trees. I couldn’t wait to meet with my client and try out this new location. When the day came, I was thrilled to meet this really sweet couple. They were up for every idea that I had in mind and this location offered up plenty.
I had the pleasure of photographing this family a year ago. That session was very different. It was in Pennsylvania and it was winter. It was not the coldest session that I ever shot but it came very close. I believe the temperature was in the thirties. The kids spent time cuddling their parents in blankets between shots and even during some shots for body warmth. I was glad to see that although now it was a sunny day a whole year later, the cuddling still went on. This family exudes love for each other.
Before Georgia, I lived in Pennsylvania for six years. During that time, I was lucky to meet a wonderful friend and form the kind of friendship that many miles apart do not bring to an end. A few months ago, my friend called to tell me she is pregnant. Of course I had to see her and photograph her. So as soon as I could get back to the North, I set out to photograph her as she awaits her newest little bundle. So here she is, my dear friend.
I walk away from each of my photo sessions happy with the moments that I shared with my clients. I get to see them anticipating births, new parents nuzzling newborns, couples in love, families laughing together, and high school students excited about the adventure they are about to start. I love documenting all types of moments. That being said, this one stole my heart.
This photo session took me to a rural town in Delaware. It was a cold rainy morning but that didn’t stop this family from taking beautiful family portraits. Even the little guy was a trooper. The area had a charming old train depot, a park with beautiful fall colored leaves, and a quaint old church.
You will see two photos using a vintage truck. Get ready to see that make a reappearance in another post coming soon. The couple gifted their grandparents a photo session. The truck, belonging to the grandparents, made for a cute setting for them as well.
