A Cold Fall Morning in Delaware

Or maybe Maryland? I know I had to cut through Delaware to get there, but now I’m thinking it was the Maryland Panhandle…Hmm.

Anyway, it was beautiful. Right now in the beginning of October I just can’t get enough of sharing fall picture in the North.

This was a pretty location at a park with a railroad. Enjoy.

A Year Later

I had the pleasure of photographing this family a year ago.  That session was very different. It was in Pennsylvania and it was winter.  It was not the coldest session that I ever shot but it came very close. I believe the temperature was in the thirties. The kids spent time cuddling their parents in blankets between shots and even during some shots for body warmth.  I was glad to see that although now it was a sunny day a whole year later, the cuddling still went on.  This family exudes love for each other.

Young Love

I walk away from each of my photo sessions happy with the moments that I shared with my clients. I get to see them anticipating births, new parents nuzzling newborns, couples in love, families laughing together, and high school students excited about the adventure they are about to start. I love documenting all types of moments.  That being said, this one stole my heart.

A Day in Delaware

This photo session took me to a rural town in Delaware.  It was a cold rainy morning but that didn’t stop this family from taking beautiful family portraits. Even the little guy was a trooper. The area had a charming old train depot, a park with beautiful fall colored leaves, and a quaint old church.

You will see two photos using a vintage truck. Get ready to see that make a reappearance in another post coming soon. The couple gifted their grandparents a photo session. The truck, belonging to the grandparents, made for a cute setting for them as well.

Father and Sons

These photos of a father with his two boys are simply special.  Now I know what I am going to do with my own husband and sons for Father’s Day!

This session was taken as part of a fundraiser for a local club. These little guys were so sweet and as you can see, adorable.  Enjoy!

Out of a Magazine

The post will be from the same location using the same items.  While I try not to use the same places and things, these sessions are parts of a fundraiser for a local school.  Photographing several families in one day required using the same location.  I had fun  providing each family  a unique experience,  and am very happy with these images.  This family stepped right out of a magazine.  Enjoy!

Only 7 Days Old and Pretty in Pink

I had the pleasure of photographing this little seven day old baby girl.  Photographing a baby is something special.  The sessions are mostly serene and you get to really focus on the details like peach fuzz on ears and chubby little baby hands.  All you hear in the room is the click of the camera and a tiny little baby grunt here and there as they stretch into another adorable pose. You also get to see first time parents, caring for their children and you document them developing this relationship.

This session had an added element. The baby’s grandmother was there lending a hand to the new parents.  We were able to take some photos of the grandmother and mother dynamic.  The photos that came from that part of the session make me tear up each time I look at them.  I love the relationship that you can see between grandmother and mother, there is so much going in the looks between them.  It brings to life why I love candid photography, pure emotion.

I truly enjoyed capturing this entire new family at the start of their new life together. It took me back to when my children were first born, only in my case there was blue everywhere and here the baby is pretty in pink.
